Yup, I got to go to my first ever prom.
Being as I was home schooled from 2nd grade through high school, there was never a chance to have a prom.
I can’t, however, say I’ve never been invited. There was a boy I met, only once, at a youth event at a church program I went to and he had the guts to ask me to his high school prom. Can you believe that? After only just meeting me, he asks me to prom of all things… (Needless to say, I wasn’t into going to prom with someone I’d just met.)
My sister and brothers all had dates with people who were in public school so they all had the prom experience but not me. 
So you can imagine how excited I was when Mary at The Mommyologist announced June 13th that she was holding a Mom Sexy Prom. I was psyched to go.
And… then I got sick… This post should have gone up on Monday, but there is no way on earth that one can feel sexy when their head feels like it’s ready to explode from a sinus infection, you can’t stop coughing due to bronchitis, or you can’t see because your eyelids are stuck together due to conjunctivitis. Yup, That’s what I had… Sucked big time. Thought I was going to miss my first ever prom…
Thankfully the meds have helped this week and though I’m a bit late… I MADE IT!!!! 
I couldn’t decide what to wear, as I had two outfits I’d bought a couple of years ago for occasions, but never had the chance to wear.
First the blue number – I even bought matching shoes and handbag. Something I’ve never, ever done before in my life. I was so disappointed I never had the chance to wear it…
The second choice which I end up deciding on was my red dress. Both of these still had the tags on (until today:-) )
OK, let’s party!!!
No prom is complete without the dancing. Come on get down with me!

This is so AWESOME!!! I am loving that you got the dance party started! People were starting to look a little shy on the dance floor. LOL!
LOVE both of your dresses, but glad you went with the red! Much more sassy.

I used to dance all around our home to all kinds of music holding you as a baby & little one!! Guess it stuck!!!

Woop woop!! You are rockin those prom dresses. And don’t worry. Mom Sexy Prom is WAY better than HS Prom. My date for prom ended up macking on my best friend all night long. Yup. THat was good times. Nice to meet you and looking forward to reading more from your super blog!!

Thanks for the comments everyone. It was so fun to get all dressed up this morning. Starting in the shower when I knew that today was going to be Mom Sexy Prom day, I was in the groove!
Tunes have been jamming all day. Now hopefully hubby won’t be too tired from his long week at work to make use of my sexy mood.
