Ahhh, I’m back again. Need a place to vent and fess up.
I’ve failed. Yes, as a mother and a wife. I got a big fat “F” today.
The kids were home from school and what did I do? I tried working while they were home. Big mistake.
They had 2 snow days last week which left me super behind in my work, I have a new program launching on Wednesday and I still had a lot of writing to catch up on.
So what did I do? I tried to write while they were home which was, of course, doomed to fail before I began.
3 boys, trying to get my attention, fighting, and interrupting me every 15 min. so I couldn’t concentrate.
What I should have done was played with them and given them my undivided attention for at least a good couple of hours then set them up with a craft or movie so I could work in peace.
But did I do that? No. Stupid me didn’t get nearly enough done and didn’t get to spend the time with them that I should have. Which, isn’t that the reason I’m working from home to begin with???
Stupid mistake. One I’ve asked my 11 year old to help remind me not to make again. We’ve even set up a code word. 
I did apologize to him and ended up playing a game with him before bed so he forgave me.
It will take a while before hubby does though…

Hmmmm, nobody is ever perfect, even moms! Mistakes, errors, propel us to rethink, refocus, redo. You love your boys, they love you, you’ll all survive and grow stronger in your relationships.

The kids ended up with another snow day today, so instead of thinking of all the work I still have to do that won’t get done while they are home, I’m happy that I get the opportunity for a “do over”.
I’m still in my PJ’s to help me remember it’s all about them this morning.
